Maeve Ryan is a qualified teacher and Level 7 Specialist Teacher and Assessor, holding a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) issued by The Dyslexia Guild.

Her assessments are conducted in a supportive environment, with time taken to help each child or young person feel comfortable throughout the process.

Assessment fee: £600

This includes the assessment, a comprehensive diagnostic report and feedback on the findings.

What happens during an assessment?

1. Initial discussion

We begin by discussing your child's learning history, current difficulties and any concerns you or their school may have.

2. Assessment session

A range of standardised assessments are used to explore areas such as reading, spelling, phonological processing, memory and processing speed. Breaks are provided when needed.

3. Report and feedback

Following the assessment, you receive a comprehensive diagnostic report explaining the findings, identifying strengths and difficulties, and providing practical recommendations for support at home and school.

Maeve holds a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC), valid until July 2029. This recognises her professional competence to carry out diagnostic assessments for specific learning difficulties within her area of expertise.
