Supporting Every Learner to Reach Their Potential

More Than Words Tuition was founded on the belief that every learner deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of the challenges they may face.

We understand that every learner is unique. By recognising individual strengths, identifying barriers and delivering personalised support, we help children and young people develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Learning is about more than academic success. Confidence, wellbeing and physical health all play an important role in helping children and young people reach their potential. By combining specialist educational support with confidence-building fitness sessions, we provide a holistic approach that helps children and young people develop the skills, resilience and self-belief they need to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

Our aim is not simply to improve academic outcomes, but to build confident, independent learners who enjoy learning and believe in their own abilities.

Our Learners

At More Than Words Tuition, we believe that every learner is unique. Some children need support to build confidence, others require specialist teaching to overcome barriers to learning, while some simply benefit from an approach that recognises their individual strengths and interests.

We regularly work with children and young people who have:

  • Dyslexia and literacy difficulties

  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

  • Anxiety or low self-confidence

  • Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)

  • Gaps in learning

  • Low engagement with education

  • Difficulties with reading, writing or mathematics

  • GCSE preparation needs

  • EHCPs or additional educational support plans

Our holistic approach combines specialist teaching, professional assessment and confidence-building opportunities to help learners thrive academically, emotionally and socially.

For some learners, particularly those experiencing anxiety, low confidence or school attendance difficulties, movement and physical activity can be an effective way to build trust, regulate emotions and re-engage with learning. Our confidence-building fitness sessions can complement educational support as part of a personalised programme tailored to the individual learner.
