Fitness & Confidence Sessions
Building Confidence Beyond the Classroom
In-Person & Online
At More Than Words Tuition, we believe that children and young people learn best when they feel confident, motivated and successful. For some learners, particularly those with SEN or additional learning needs, physical activity provides a valuable opportunity to build self-esteem, regulate emotions and develop skills that transfer into the classroom.
Our fitness sessions complement our educational support by recognising that achievement isn't only measured academically. They provide children with opportunities to experience success, set personal goals and develop resilience through enjoyable, structured physical activity.
Sessions are designed to help children develop:
Physical fitness – improving strength, stamina and overall health.
Coordination and movement skills – developing balance, agility, speed and body awareness.
Confidence and self-esteem – encouraging children to challenge themselves and celebrate success.
Resilience and perseverance – learning that progress comes through practice and determination.
Teamwork and communication – developing social skills through positive interaction and shared activities.
Healthy lifestyle habits – promoting lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
Activities are tailored to each learner's age, interests and abilities and may include games, functional movement, agility drills, coordination activities, strength development and age-appropriate plyometric exercises where suitable. Every session is delivered in a safe, supportive environment by a qualified children's fitness coach, helping children enjoy movement while developing confidence that extends beyond sport.
